When we say: We see anything, which fits through the door; we mean ANYTHING! We are proud to say we are among the few area veterinarians who welcome exotic pets into our hospital. We offer both wellness and sick pet exams to Hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, reptiles, amphibians and any other types of pets.

Vaccinations

Most exotic pets do not need to be vaccinated, with the exception of ferrets. In Connecticut, all ferrets should be vaccinated for the rabies virus. Additionally, it is recommended ferrets receive yearly inoculations against canine distemper (yes, “canine”).
