Dr. Steven Zeide, Practice Owner
Stamford resident and owner of Bull’s Head Pet Hospital since the ‘70s, my primary veterinary interests are internal and preventative medicine of dogs, cats, birds and exotic pets (in fact, any pet that can fit through the door). Although I graduated from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine a while ago, I continually update my education attending countless veterinary lectures and seminars.

I love to share my passion for animals with Fairfield County‘s young and young at heart, whether it’s participating in pet-facilitated therapy at human hospitals and nursing homes or visiting schoolchildren on career days. It’s doubly rewarding when the students come to Bull’s Head Pet Hospital to discover more. The learning tree has even branched out to my sons from a more than 35-year marriage. One is a veterinarian today and the other, an attorney with his MBA, consults for the practice. Born and bred in Brooklyn, N.Y., I learned to be fiercely loyal to family, community and work.

In my spare time, I enjoy running and reading (not simultaneously). Finally, of course, what would a veterinarian be without pets of his own? Tiger, a 13-year old feline and Dover, a six-year old bull terrier, presently rule the roost.

Dr. Meghan Kohlhepp, Associate Veterinarian
Hi! I'm Dr. Meghan Kohlhepp. I just joined the practice at Bull's Head Pet Hospital in June 2009. I am originally from the New Haven area and have just returned from a long interlude in Pennsylvania where I attended the University of Pennsylvania College of Veterinary Medicine. I have been working in the field of veterinary medicine for the past 11 years and have always had a passion for pets. My veterinary interests include internal medicine, surgery, feline medicine, and client communication. I have three pets of my own: my lovable rescue mutt Millie and my two cats Ethel and Mr. Orange. My interests include travelling, beach and water sports, and dining out with friends and family. I'm very excited to be working with the great staff at Bull's Head Pet Hospital!

Suzanne, Senior Client Service Representative
My name is Suzanne and I adopted Casey on September 17, 1999. I "found" Casey quite by accident. During a random scanning of the Pets column in the local newspaper, a description of one particular dog jumped off the page. Adopt-a-Dog of Greenwich, CT, had among a long list of available pets, a mixed breed they called "Sabrina." After several interviews, I met "Sabrina" at an animal hospital in Greenwich that was treating her for a few injuries including a heavily bandaged tail. She was so underweight that her ribs showed but her big brown eyes sparkled. When I was allowed to adopt "Sabrina", I immediately changed her name to Casey in honor of the late Casey Stengel of the New York Yankees. At the recommendation of a then co-worker, I brought Casey to Bull's Head Pet Hospital for an examination and treatment of her injuries, including the tail damage. Today, Casey, a black lab/pit bull mix, is a healthy, active addition to my home. Her fully recovered tail wags constantly and it has been a long time since anyone has seen her ribs!

Trista, Client Service Representative
Hello, my name is Trista and I came to Bull's Head Pet Hospital in summer of 2006, and had worked previously at a pet hospital in New York since graduating college in 2004. I've always had dogs growing up and I think animals are a gift to mankind to cherish. When I first started working at the pet hospital in NY, my mom was always afraid that I would bring every puppy or kitten home that was either sick or needed a home! I enjoy working at a pet hospital because I love to see animals cared for and I love to know that I can be a part in that process. It is very rewarding to be able to share in joys with families as we watch their pet grow together!

Christina, Dr. Assistant/Client Service Representative
Hello, my name is Christina. I started at Bull’s Head Pet Hospital in November 2008. I just moved to Stamford with my cat, Dude, who I adopted after he had surgery due to an injury that has left him with only three legs. Don’t tell him he is missing one though! He doesn’t seem to notice! Having five years of veterinary assistant/tech experience since graduating college in 2003 from Fairfield University, I am excited to learn even more from such talented veterinarians and staff here. Dude and I are both thrilled to be here and I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members as well!

Sandi, Groomer
Hello, I'm Sandi Calo, the new pet stylist (groomer) at Bull's Head Pet Hospital. I moved to Connecticut from Brooklyn about 4 years ago and I love it here. I have 2 very spoiled dogs that mean the world to me. I found one of them, Deegan (a mixed breed?), on The Major Deegan Expressway in the city. And Yoey (a shepherd mix), I adopted a couple of months after her. I've always had a love for animals, and knew whatever job I'd have would need to involve pets in some way. It's been 13 years now that I've been in the pet industry, doing everything from kennel & shelter work to aquatic & reptile care to now a certified pet groomer. So please let me pamper your pooch and kitty too with a day of beauty at Bull's Head!!!

Carina, Doctor's Assistant

I am the proud owner of 12 cats...yes, 12 and a silly dwarf rabbit named Charlie Murphy. I love my job because I get to be around so many wonderful animals, and I have the privilege to assist such talented Veterinarians. I get so excited to come to work because I truly care for each animal that walks through our doors. I am currently a college student planning on pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine.
