Currently Bull’s Head Pet Hospital is not recommending the Influenza vaccine:
The vaccine does not prevent disease, just makes the symptoms less severe
The vaccine does not prevent the shedding of the virus from infected dogs
There are no known side effects from the vaccine. It is given twice 14 days apart then yearly thereafter
Should your groomer, kennel, day care require it, we will administer the vaccine. The cost is $34 per injection or $59 for both at the first injection.
